# Restarting Kardi Ai

Make sure you have the latest version of the **Kardi Ai** <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f13ec37b9ee2cf3a93f74a56e0d188bbb69a0a49%2Fapp_icon.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line"> app installed.

1. **Disconnect the chest strap.**
   * Open the **Kardi Ai** <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f13ec37b9ee2cf3a93f74a56e0d188bbb69a0a49%2Fapp_icon.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line"> app.
   * Click on the **Settings** tab.
   * Proceed to **About the app**.
   * Press the **Disconnect app** button.
   * Close the app.
2. **Uninstall the Kardi Ai app** <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f13ec37b9ee2cf3a93f74a56e0d188bbb69a0a49%2Fapp_icon.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line">**.**

   Hold the app icon and select the option to delete/remove the app.
3. **Check Bluetooth.**

   Make sure the sensor is not in the list of devices.
4. **Check the battery.**
   * The metal contact plate for the battery must not be damaged.
   * The inserted battery must have the **negative pole facing out**.
   * The battery must be a Panasonic or Duracell brand.
   * The battery cover seal must not be damaged.
   * The battery cover must be carefully snapped into place.
5. **Install the Kardi Ai app** <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f13ec37b9ee2cf3a93f74a56e0d188bbb69a0a49%2Fapp_icon.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line">**.**

   Download the app from the [**Apple App Store**](https://apps.apple.com/cz/app/kardi-ai/id1620687198)**,** [**Google Play Store**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kardiai.android\&referrer=manual\&pli=1) **or** [**Huawei AppGallery**](https://appgallery.huawei.com/app/C111695289)**.**
6. **Pair the chest strap and the app.**
   * Log in using the <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-771cd8485f7ba15b3fe282d7e248636f208705eb%2Fqr.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line"> QR code located inside the Kardi Ai kit\
     (the QR code can be sent to your email using the **LOST CODE RECOVERY** function).
   * **Allow access** to Bluetooth, location, and notifications.
   * Active <img src="https://2699567387-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWFE1am6YItgF4mow5bWX%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-19f2bbd1698d73c20c746b90a4aa306a54f6d96c%2Fwifi.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line"> **internet connection** via Wi-Fi or mobile data is required for pairing.
7. **Check the connection.**

   Snap the sensor onto the chest strap and attach it to your chest.
